    A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Satu was born from a Trinidadian mother and a Finnish father. At age 12, her family moved to the deep South, where Satu was raised. Satu (Finnish for “fairytale”), graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Communication Studies degree and a French minor.
